Launched in September 2010 John Lewis Home Insurance is part of a number of insurance products they offer including Car, Travel, Wedding and Pet.

John Lewis home insurance typically appeals  to those over 35 years old in the Social grade: ABC1.

Policy includes Buildings and Contents Cover so as long as customers don’t own any valuables* worth over £30,000 in total or £15,000 each so  they will never be underinsured.

If you use your home for business as long as your business use is solely clerical, any business callers are by appointment only and you don't have more than ten business visits every week. They can provide cover of up to £5,000, including up to £500 for business stock.

If your home became unfit to live in, after a flood for instance, they will provide you with alternative accommodation. And depending on the circumstances, they will arrange for you  and even your pets to live in a house similar to your own until the damage has been repaired.
